2018
The Roofing Dream Is Born
In 2018, Colin turned his vision into reality by launching a roofing company in Nebraska with a business partner. Through a commitment to quality craftsmanship, premium materials, and genuine customer care, the business quickly built a strong reputation and experienced rapid growth.
2020
Relocation to the Hill Country
After two successful years in Nebraska, Colin decided to relocate to Texas. He sold the previous roofing business to his partner and worked as an owners rep on high-end projects throughout Austin and the surrounding area.
2021
Big Experience on Big Projects
Over the course of Colin's relocation to Texas, he managed a number of high-end projects that required high attention to detail and made sure deadlines and schedules were maintained with the highest consistency. But he missed working directly with customers and helping improve property values with beautiful exterior projects.
2022
The Start Of Something New
At the start of 2022, Colin decided to open a new roofing and general contracting company. After seeing friends struggling to find good exterior companies to work with, he knew he wanted to bring his passion for completing home exteriors to the Hays County market.

A New Name, the Same Commitment
Elite Roofing proudly rebranded as Next Gen Roofing and Construction; a name that reflects the company’s forward-thinking approach, expanded services, and continued dedication to excellence. A Word from the founder
How Next Gen Became More Than a BusinessI have always believed that when you invite someone to work on your home, you deserve more than a contractor. You deserve a partner who respects your property, values your trust, and delivers work that stands the test of time. My name is Colin Hald, and as the president of Next Gen Roofing and Construction, my goal is to make every customer feel confident, informed, and cared for throughout the entire process. In 2020, I moved to the the Hill Country and settled on an acreage just outside of Wimberley with my dog, Oliver. Not long after, I began working as an owner’s representative for large residential and commercial projects. The work was rewarding, but something was missing. I missed owning my own company and connecting directly with homeowners, rather than being the middleman between general contractors and customers. That realization is what brought Next Gen Roofing and Construction to life.Over the years, I have built and sold multiple businesses by focusing on honesty, hard work, and earning trust through results. These same values shape everything we do at Next Gen Roofing and Construction. With experience in projects of all sizes, I know what it takes to deliver quality that lasts and service that gives homeowners complete peace of mind.
I take pride in solving challenges and finding solutions where others see obstacles. When I am not working, I enjoy tending to my property, spending time in the Wimberley Square for ice cream, and visiting local favorites like the Wimberley Cafe and the Leaning Pear. This community is my home, and it is an honor to help protect and improve the homes of my neighbors.
